Below you will find some of the questions along with the answers most commonly asked about our Membership.

What’s included in my membership?

All members automatically go on our First Steps to Fitness Program, this is a goal orientated program which because of it’s design enables instructors to coordinate and adapt all of our experience, facilities and services to suit your needs and your specific goals.

The First Steps to Fitness Program is done on a one 2 one basis and is completely free of charge, on it you will receive:

Step 1: A personalised lifestyle assessment
Step 2: A complete and comprehensive introduction to all club facilities services and staff.
Step 3: A comprehensive cardio- vascular program
Step 4: A resistance and core stability program

At any point during your membership you can book in on any or all of the Steps. You will find that we are just as keen for you to reach and maintain your goals as you are!

  • Staff - Friendly, helpful, & professional.
  • Service - Exceptional.
  • Follow-up - What most clubs won't do after they have your money - to us it is ESSENTIAL!
  • Motivation - Some have, some don't - we provide it.
  • Goals - Our job is to help you accomplish yours!

How often should I work out? How long should a workout be?

There is no one answer to these questions. When you join Gold’s Gym one of our qualified fitness instructors will develop a personal program for you based on your current fitness level and goals.

What is the difference between a fitness instructor & a personal trainer?

Your fitness instructor will provide an initial and ongoing opportunity for you to discuss your fitness goals, and will help you to develop the best exercise program with you. The instructors are always available to answer any questions and will update your program at regular intervals, whenever you feel ready for a change we suggest every 3 to 4 months.

A personal trainer is someone who, can personally guide you through each workout so that you can achieve 100% results 100% of the time. They will provide expert knowledge, encouragement, monitor your technique and constantly fine-tune your program as you progress.

What happens if I lose my membership card?

All members are required to present their membership card at Reception on every visit to the Club (entry may be denied without your card). Lost cards will be replaced at the member's expense.

Can I take a break in my membership?

Yes ! We offer memberships to be suspended for a minimum of 1 month to a maximum of 3 months (1 months notice required from your direct debit date) per £25.00

Can I transfer my membership to a friend?

Memberships are transferable your friend will need to pay a transfer fee and take over your payments. (Transfers are not possible on discounted memberships.)

I know someone who could benefit from membership... What should I do?

If you introduce a friend while your membership is still current, you may be entitled to a referral gift as a thank you. Special forms are available from Reception during the period of a specific promotion. Retrospective introductions may not qualify you for any gift.

Will the cost of my membership go up in the near future?

Gold's Gym believes in value for money. We have recently cut our prices by over 40% in some branches. However membership rates may be changed from time to time in accordance with company policy.
